Canadian business funding

Find the funding your business qualifies for.

Answer a few questions and CashRadar checks Canadian grants, wage subsidies, tax credits and funding programs against your business, and tells you plainly which are grants and which are loans you have to pay back.

Why programs get missed

The rules change more often than the guides do.

Programs get replaced, paused, or quietly restructured. Most people find out from an article written two years ago. Here are four changes from this year alone. All of them checkable against the official sources we link to.

The GST/HST credit no longer exists

It was replaced by the Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit in July 2026. Guides still tell people to look for the old one.

Nova Scotia changed the order of operations

Since 1 January 2026 you need a home energy assessment before installation to get standard Efficiency Nova Scotia rebates. Install first and you get nothing.

CanExport's intake closed on 31 August

Up to $50,000 for export development, and the window shut days ago, with no next intake announced. Guides still list it as open.

Half the "grants" you'll read about are loans

ACOA's main business stream is an interest-free repayable contribution, and BDC is a bank. Both get listed as grants. We label what has to be paid back.

How it works

A scan, then a checklist you can actually work through.

  1. 1

    Answer a few questions

Two or three minutes, plain language. We ask only what actually decides eligibility, and every sensitive question is optional.

  2. 2

    We check the rules

Your answers run against structured eligibility rules for every program we track. It's deterministic matching, not a chatbot guessing.

  3. 3

You get a real to-do list

Each match tells you why you may qualify, what documents to gather, the deadline, and the official link to apply.

What we track

Federal, provincial, and municipal programs.

Federal programs apply Canada-wide, and we track provincial programs in every province and territory, for households and small businesses alike.

Is CashRadar a government service?+

No. CashRadar is an independent service and is not affiliated with the Government of Canada or any provincial government. We compile publicly available program information and link you to the official page for every program.

Will you tell me I definitely qualify?+

No, and you should be sceptical of anyone who does. CashRadar identifies potential matches. Final eligibility is determined by the program administrator. We show you why you appear to match, and what to check.

What does the free scan include?+

The complete scan runs against every program we track, and you see how many matches you have. You can open the first 3 in full for free. The paid report unlocks the rest.

How current is the information?+

Every program shows the date it was last verified against its official source. On top of that, we re-check every official page daily and flag anything that changed: a closure, a paused intake, or a reworded requirement. Programs that are paused, closed, or awaiting re-verification are labelled as such rather than quietly shown as active.

Which provinces and territories do you cover?+

All 13. Federal programs apply Canada-wide, and every province and territory has its main provincial programs listed. Depth varies. New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island are the most thoroughly curated, and every location page says plainly how much local coverage it has.

What data do you keep?+

Only what the matching needs, and in ranges rather than exact figures: an income band, not a salary. We never ask for your SIN, banking credentials, or government account passwords. You can delete your account and data at any time.
